General information

This website provides general information about Responsible Cloud and its advisory services. Content is educational and does not constitute legal advice, an audit opinion, compliance certification, managed security, penetration testing, or a guarantee of any business, security, financial, or regulatory outcome.

Engagements

An email inquiry does not create a client relationship. Any engagement requires a separate written agreement defining scope, responsibilities, assumptions, fees, deliverables, verification procedures, and limitations. If these website terms and an applicable written agreement conflict, the written agreement controls for that engagement.

Responsible Cloud responsibilities

Responsible Cloud is responsible for performing the services expressly included in the applicable written engagement scope. Unless that scope expressly states otherwise, Responsible Cloud does not operate, administer, monitor, or assume control of the client’s business, systems, accounts, vendors, personnel, or risk-management program.

Client responsibilities

The client remains responsible for its business decisions; risk acceptance and treatment decisions; implementation decisions; systems and accounts under client control; responding to identified risks; and maintaining controls after any verification. The client also remains responsible for determining whether legal, regulatory, compliance, audit, insurance, or other specialist advice is required, and for risks, systems, events, or conditions outside the agreed scope.

The client is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and complete information, evidence, cooperation, and access required by the engagement.

Risk and remediation status

Responsible Cloud may identify and prioritize risk, recommend remediation, and document client decisions. Identified risk is not proof of loss; a recommendation is not client acceptance; acceptance is not implementation; and implementation is not verification. Verification requires an expressly agreed scope and sufficient evidence. Residual risk remains after treatment and with the organization.

Ownership does not transfer

Responsible Cloud documents risk-reduction activity and, when expressly included in scope, verifies specified implementation evidence. Documentation or verification does not transfer ownership of the underlying business decision, response, control, system, unresolved condition, or residual risk to Responsible Cloud.

No guaranteed outcome

Responsible Cloud does not guarantee that an organization is secure, risk-free, compliant, breach-proof, protected from every loss, or free from future incidents. Advisory work, remediation, and verification can reduce or clarify risk without eliminating it.

Resources and frameworks

Downloadable resources provide general guidance. Sample deliverables are representative and fictional; they are not client reports and should be adapted by qualified professionals. Technology, threats, provider services, and standards change. References to third-party frameworks do not imply endorsement, certification, guaranteed alignment, or guaranteed compliance.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, original website content and Responsible Cloud materials may not be republished or sold without permission. Referenced frameworks and third-party marks belong to their respective owners.
